The first lot of prunes, 22 tonnes, was shipped to Hamburg by direct rail. Transit time was 21 days — faster and more reliable than combined port delivery.
The direct rail channel reduces transshipment and the risk of packaging damage. We plan to transfer some shipments to Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic to this route.
